MY COURSE

I studied the Blending Learning Professional Diploma which allows you to work and study at the same time, although they recommend that you work a maximum of 4 days per week.  From my experience I would say that working 3 days a week would be better!  The syllabus included:

- the design process from taking the brief through to space planning and technical drawing (by hand and 2D CAD);

- technical drawing: floor plans, elevations and sections, axonometric and isometric projections, one and two point measured perspectives;

- presentation techniques: sample boards, furniture books and rendering techniques;

- technical understanding: lighting plans  and building construction;

- Research Project 1: Textiles and Window Treatments;

- Research Project 2: History of Style from 1660 to 20th Century (including French styles from 1600 to 1820).
